Silly, Step by Step

Posting up a recent exercise I did on my Sketchbook Pro Tablet:
I've been spending the better part of the last 10 months on paper and pencil, and then paper and pen. Pen was great because it helped to make me comfortable with my errors. And it also taught me a lot more commitment to the lines on paper. I still love the practice, but I also had to begin to teach myself how to get used to the newer tablet surface.
At first the tablet felt like skating on ice. It was almost too smooth. It made me more careful. But then the lines were getting very squirrelly on me! i'm still working on it, but as I get used to the tablet- I love it more and more. I have to exercise and practice on this more and more, but the ease of sketching is becoming genuinely enjoyable. So I decided to put up this "kind of" step by step sketch of my character Silly. Not perfect, but I like him that way. What little guy named Silly should be perfect?
Thanks for visiting.
