Still Searching for Her

I haven't posted in about a week. It's been a struggle to find the right fit for my character. Drawing females for me is much harder than drawing a boy.
I've touched base on it a few times, including in my last post. It's not easy. There definitely is a stricter less open minded way to draw girls. Yes you can illustrate them a million different ways but boys can be considerably different from character to character. A mess, jock, nerd, twerp, or even stick figure, a boy is not nearly as difficult as a girl.
Girls need distinct features that clearly define them as girls, from the contours of the cheek bones to the shape of their eyes to the shape of their shoulders and hips. It's subtle. Ultimately boys can be much more of anything but a girl must always be a girl. I hope you understand what I mean.
Below are more images of my attempt to find my little lady. I lowered her age and added some innocence, but she is still missing the little bit of energy I am trying to get. Thanks for visiting!
