The Humongous Book of Cartooning

After completing You Can Draw in 30 Days, I wanted to find a second book I to begin taking more purposefully guided lessons from. After reading about dozens of titles I finally came across Chris Hart's Humongous Book of Cartooning. It seemed the best fit for me as the general description read, "a great value book covering everything the beginner needs to master cartooning. It teaches how to draw cartoon people, fantasy characters, layouts, background design and much more." Quote courtesy of goodreads.
Loaded with characters, tips, clear instructions fit for a novice like me, it appeared to be just the right encyclostructional (I made up that word by the way).
Basically, this was my choice and from here I would begin developing the skills needed to genuinely get on with my physical character development. This book was now my second step towards becoming an illustrator, and that much closer to creating my long imagined characters.
