Drawing Different Ears

In my next lesson I learned the different types of simple ears that could be used when animating characters. In this specific exercise I used a standard looking nerd. I do apologize if you're reading this and the nerd looks like you...
Um, so when drawing cartoon ears I was encouraged not to go for perfect anatomical features, but instead to embrace a simpler design. There were many subtle ones to use. The key was just to go with something I was comfortable with that could be used to fulfill the features expected on a character. Several types I learned were the spiral, the flap, the square, and plain sticking out goofy.
Effective and fun. Working in repetition with my nerd was good practice too. Thanks for visiting!
